Run the whole job from the curb.

CurbMechanic is the shop app for mobile mechanics and small shops. Customers, vehicles, schedule, estimates and invoices in one place, on the web and on your phone.

It takes about a minute. A request is not an order, and nothing is charged.

The problem

The wrench work is the easy part.

When the truck is the shop, the paperwork follows you home.

The quote is lost in a text thread.

You quoted it on the phone last week. Now you are scrolling to find what you said.

The VIN is a photo somewhere.

One wrong character typed later, and you are at the parts counter with the wrong part.

The invoice gets written at night.

From memory, at the kitchen table, after a full day in driveways.

Getting paid waits on paperwork.

The customer is ready to pay at the curb. The invoice is not.

How it works

One job, four steps.

CurbMechanic is being built around the way a mobile job really runs, from the first look at the vehicle to the payment.

  1. Estimate

Decode the VIN, pick the jobs and parts, and build the estimate at the curb.

  2. Approve

Walk the customer through it on your phone and mark it approved.

  3. Do the work

Check off jobs and tasks. Add photos and the odometer as you go.

  4. Get paid

Turn the approved estimate into an invoice, share the PDF and record the payment.

VIN lookup

The right vehicle, before the right part.

Scan or type the VIN and CurbMechanic fills in the year, make, model, trim and engine, then shows any open recalls for that vehicle.

It is the first thing on every visit, so every estimate, job and invoice after it carries the right vehicle.

Who it is for

Made for the mechanic who is the whole shop.

Solo mobile mechanics first. Small shops are welcome too. US shops first.

Solo mobile mechanics

You quote, fix, invoice and collect, often in one visit. Each screen puts the next step under your thumb.

Two-person crews and small shops

A shared schedule and an account for each mechanic are planned. Ask now and tell us how your shop runs.

Built for the driveway

Large tap targets you can hit with gloves on, large text, and high contrast for bright sun.

A day with CurbMechanic

One Tuesday, start to finish.

This is how a day is meant to run once CurbMechanic opens. Sample day, sample customer.

  1. A text comes in: front brakes grinding.

Add the customer and the truck from the message. The VIN fills in the rest.

  2. Parts run.

The estimate already lists the pads and rotors for that exact truck.

  3. First stop.

The visit screen shows the address, the jobs and the one next step.

  4. Estimate approved at the curb.

Shown on your phone, marked approved, work started.

  5. Work done.

Jobs checked off, photos on the task, odometer saved once.

  6. Paid before you pull away.

Invoice made from the estimate, PDF shared, payment recorded.

  7. Evening.

Nothing left to write up. The day is already on the record.

Founding shops

How founding shops work

CurbMechanic opens first to founding shops, by invite. Founding shops help shape it.

  1. Send a request. It takes about a minute.
  2. We read every request and reply by email.
  3. Shops that are invited hear from us when CurbMechanic opens.
  4. Any founding terms are discussed with you one on one and agreed in writing before anything is charged.
  5. Founding shops are asked for feedback.

What a request is, and is not

  • It shows interest. It is not an order or a contract.
  • Sending a request does not guarantee a spot.
  • Nothing is promised in advance, and no payment is taken now.
